If you’re planning on taking in the action at the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship that can only mean one thing, you’re headed to:
That’s right, you heard it here first (okay, maybe not first but you heard it here). The event is set for October 18-23 and promises to be even more exciting than years past.
First off, the event is going to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena, with a whopping 16k seats for excited volleyball lovers from around the globe! The outside of this building is literally the shape of the human eye giving the event goer the feeling that any sporting event attended there will be “a feast for the eye” and this one sure promises to be!
And if that’s not exciting enough, this event is hosting more teams than ever before! There will be eight talent rich teams out there. Yep, EIGHT teams competing for (in an echoing voice) WORLD CLUB DOMINATIONNN.
The first four teams are:
- South American champions Rexona Ades of Brazil
- CEV Champions League winners Pomi Casalmaggiore of Italy
- Asian champions Bangkok Glass of Thailand
- Philippines own All Star team with top players from Philippine Super Liga
The other four competitors will be wildcard teams.
You see, I said it’s going to be good!
Philippine Super Liga president, Ramon Suzara expects this to possibly be the largest competition of its kind to take place in Manila.
Volleyball.Com congratulates Manila, Philippines on being awarded this prestigious honor.
See you at the event- Haha…actually we need tickets… anyone got any tickets?
